Finally!! After 5 years I've finally published a new Peacock Feather design. 5 years....I can't believe it has been that long. This does not mean that I haven't designed any peacock-inspired motifs in those years. Actually, I've designed very many, more than ever before, but somehow I didn't get to the publication part :) So my goal for this year is to publish a new design say every 6 weeks. I'm so happy with all the new stylized motifs I've come up with that it would be a shame not to share them with you.
And all my crochet patterns are available in ENGLISH (US + UK) and in DUTCH.
So here's the first one: The Chandraki Peacock Feather. It's a very stylized feather and perhaps you may not even recognize it as a peacock feather at first. That doesn't matter at all as it's a beautiful motif regardless (obviously I think so :) and you can of course use your own favourite colours to personalize it according to your own style. As always, I used Scheepjes Catona yarn, which is perfect for these kinds of motifs as it has a beautiful sheen and creates a beautiful firm fabric. At the bottom of this post you'll find links to (online) shops that sell Catona yarn.
It's also a very versatile motif as you can use it to make different kind of items. I'll show you in the photos.
First there's the (note)book wrap. I think it's a lovely decorative item, which would make a wonderful gift.
From book wrap to bookmark is a small step, so here's my version.
And then of course just the single feather. If you make a few of them, you could lay them out around a tea light or candle to create a special and soothing spot in your living room, bedroom or on a garden table.
