Moonwish Wrap: Crochet Shawl Pattern

free crochet pattern shawl wrap the curio crafts room thecuriocraftsroom whirl whirlette

Thank you so much for all the love you've shown for my very first shawl design. Last week when I revealed the two versions I made - sizes S and L, see this blog post -  I also asked you for some name inspiration. Well......I received so many lovely suggestions that it was really hard to choose one, so I went with the name that had the nicest ring to it, I had positive associations with and hadn't been used on Ravelry yet: Moonwish. I like the sound of it (literally) and as I've just been reading Yasmin Boland's book Moonology, I thought the name was really fitting. Also because the shawl has a crescent shape.

For the pattern release I did another photo shoot and added a touch of peacock. I couldn't help myself: there just has to be something peacocky in there if at all possible. I think the shawl and necklace work very well together. The necklace featured is my Peacock Eye Necklace that I designed a few years ago and it is available on my blog and on Ravelry and Etsy.

  1. Shouldn't R10-13 be dc in ea dc instead of dc in ch-1 spaces, since there are no ch-1 spaces after R9 is completed?

    1. Hi Rita, you are quite right! Thank you so much for alerting me to this. I should have described Row 10 in full and then Rows 11-13 should be repeats of Row 10. I'll amend asap. Thank you!
